Retaining walls built to hold up for decades.

Block and stone retaining walls for slopes, terraces and level yards, built with a solid base and drainage behind them so they don't lean, bulge or wash out.

Retaining walls

How we do it

Most retaining walls that fail around here fail because of water. Rain soaks the soil behind the wall, the pressure builds up, and the wall starts to lean. We build every wall with a compacted gravel base, a drain pipe and clean gravel behind it, and fabric to keep the dirt out of the drainage.

That's the part you never see once the wall is done, and it's the part that decides whether the wall lasts. Need a slope turned into usable yard, a terrace for a patio, or an old failing wall replaced? We'll come look.

What's included

  • Block retaining walls
  • Stone and boulder walls
  • Terracing slopes into usable yard
  • Drain pipe and gravel backfill behind every wall
  • Replacing leaning or failing walls
  • Steps and patios tied into walls

Why is my old retaining wall leaning?

Usually water pressure behind it with no drainage. We can tell you whether it can be fixed or needs rebuilding.
